Beth Hossfeld, MFT

About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) since 1987 with extensive experience in private practice and previously served as a clinical director and supervisor in organizations and schools with a focus on children, youth and families in Marin County and the San Francisco Bay Area.
I am an ally to children, teens and adults with diverse cultures, identities, beliefs and orientations.

In addition to my psychotherapy practice,
I co-founded the nationally recognized circle models, Girls Circle and The Council for Boys and Young Men and established One Circle Foundation, the nonprofit that provides training and curricula to service providers working with adolescents in the U.S. and Canada. These gender responsive group models are research-based, state of the art, best practice approaches for youth across all service sectors including community and schools, after-school programs, juvenile justice, mental health and child welfare. They have been shown to increase school engagement, self-efficacy, positive body image, social support, and healthy coping.

I am married and have three grown children. My passions beyond my profession include my extended family and friends, walking and hiking, listening to music and being outdoors, being of service, and doing fun things that make me laugh like playing ping pong.
