I'm looking forward to tomorrow - the Marin Teen Girls Conference at Embassy Suites.
I'll be volunteering so that I can witness about two hundred middle and high school girls
coming together for community, gender-relevant topics, fun, and sisterhood.

Topics were generated by girls and cover alcohol and drug awareness, being smart about sex, friendships, eating and body image, communication in families, setting healthy boundaries, relationships, inner health-mental health.
These are topics provided at length in Girls Circle programs based on girls' interests as well.

I will have a chance to join two local service providers, Officer Sasha D'Amico of the Novato Police Department and Pantea Bahmani of Marin-SF YMCA Youth Court who will provide two workshops on alcohol and drug awareness.

Global Ambassador for Dove's Self-Esteem Campaign, Jess Weiner, will provide the keynote speech.
The Marin Women's Commission have organized this day for girls - a great way to honor, celebrate and engage girls in social issues relevant to their everyday lives.

It's going to be a great day!
